Gabriele Muccino, who also directed The Pursuit of Happiness, returns with Will Smith in Seven Pounds. This will be Smith’s serious movie of the year.

Trek returns to its roots with this J. J. Abrams directed and produced film. Actors with well known character styles may distract viewers. Star Trek seems to have a darker storyline than any previous chapter. The prequel story, Angels and Demons becomes the sequel film to The Da Vinci Code.  A & D should be great from reputation alone and the trailer backs that up.

The sequel to Casino Royale received mixed comments from The Movie Bandits. Is this the last Bond film for Daniel Craig? Quantum pays homage to previous Bond films and its aim seems to be tying up loose ends from Casino Royale. Austin will never pronounce “solace” correctly.
